Milan Longevity Summit 2025 - Codes of Longevity: The Biomarkers of Aging

Within the broader Summit week, on March 26, 2025 at the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan, the AEON Foundation brought together scientists, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers for a day focused on biomarkers of aging and their impact on prevention and clinical practice. Andrea Cipriano provided an update on the state of the art in decoding biological age.

During the morning, leading voices from research and healthcare — including Silvio Garattini, Matteo Bassetti, and Loreto Gesualdo — discussed the future of longevity medicine and its integration into health systems, while representatives from UniSalute, Cerba, and the GIMBE Foundation offered the operational perspective of clinics. David Della Morte and Antonella Santuccione Chadha delved into international regulatory implications. Ample attention was given to exercise and performance, with a video contribution from Alessandro Del Piero and talks by sports professionals, as well as to the role of the microbiota in health with Maria Rescigno and industry partners.

In the afternoon, Simone Fantaccini, Marco Demaria, Fabrizio d’Adda di Fagagna, and Austin Argentieri addressed the standardization of biomarkers and applications in personalized medicine; Salvatore Aranzulla hosted a fireside chat on biohacking. There was also discussion of the clinics of the future with Anna Erat, Abigail Goshen of the Sheba Center, and the prospects for longevity in extreme environments such as space, with Giovanni Marfia and Molly Mulligan. To close, Marco Quarta of Rubedo presented the latest biotech innovations. Thanks to a collaboration with Startupbootcamp, the event facilitated networking among companies and startups, confirming Milan as a European hub for longevity.
